Sunday's Welcome Back Community Event was a great one. NGS families came out to hear program updates, connect with each other, and enjoy live music and great food. A group of our seniors shared their work with guests, and Nghiem spoke about our Durable Skills and Northstars, and where NGS is headed coming out of our recent strategic planning.

It was wonderful to see so many families, staff, and supporters together to kick off the new school year.

Save the Date: Community Roundtable, October 28

Postsecondary Success & Career Pathways

This fall's Community Roundtable looks at how our scholars move from middle school through high school and into college, career training, apprenticeships, and skilled trades. It's the story behind our Northstar #1: 99% of NGS scholars transition into a postsecondary pathway, and 96% graduate college within five years.

We'll hear from Johny Ek Aban, an NGS alum, NGS board member and Pomona College board member, on what higher ed institutions are grappling with right now, and Andy Taylor Fabe, Middle School Division Head at The Hamlin School and NGS Board Member, on what he's seeing at the middle school level.

Come hear from our panelists, share your own perspective, and connect with others who care about expanding opportunity for young people in Marin.

More information to come.
