This past Sunday, we hosted our inaugural Gala Light at Next Generation Scholars, and we had a blast introducing our guests to our Scholars and our alumni, all of whom are illuminating and elevating their paths ahead thanks to your unwavering belief in our mission. If you missed it, click on the video above to get a peek into the joy that was shared.
Thanks to the support of our attendees, we SURPASSED our fundraising goal of $100K: in total, we raised $138K, allowing us to continue supporting first generation scholars in changing the trajectories of their entire families. Every dollar raised directly empowers our Scholars and their families, helping them break systemic barriers and become active forces for change in Marin and beyond. If you didn't get a chance to attend but would still like to contribute, you can do so here.
Whether you were there or not, we are grateful to you for investing in the next generation of leaders. We can't wait to share what our Scholars do next. Stay tuned as we share updates on how we are funding their futures with your generosity.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Nghiem Bui,
Executive Director,
NGS Class of 2007

Event Highlights
"Being one of the few scholarship students made it challenging. I often felt isolated, but I leaned on my NGS community of first-gen students, who became lifelong friends."
- Elisa, Current High School Senior attending Scripps College this Fall
"Because I went through NGS, my daughter won’t need a program like this. . . she’ll already have a roadmap."
- Keynote Speaker Vincent Alvarez, Class of 2009
Thank you to everyone who participated in our lively auction!
