As we enter a new year, we’re grateful to start 2025 with a full cup. Thanks to your generosity, we exceeded our fundraising goal! Our mission to serve first generation scholars is powered by your support, so we are incredibly grateful to every person who has given to our fundraiser.
Thanks to your contributions, we can strengthen our programs and boost our community outreach. In 2025, we will continue to evolve the Community Uplift Project, deepen the impact of our Family Services, grow the Little Scholars Program through new partnerships, and improve our Year-Round Program.
We are pumped for this new year, and excited to uplift even more Scholars in 2025.

Congratulations to the Winner of Our Raffle Prize!
As part of our year-end fundraiser, we set up a raffle for donors, where we gave away tickets to the Golden State Warriors game against the Sacramento Kings. Big congrats to Ronnie P., NGS Alum ‘18, for winning the prize! We love to see him enjoying the game with his dad.
Thank you to our generous supporters, Jonas and Donna, for donating the tickets!

In addition to serving on the NGS Board, Mike has also served on the Boards & Committees of organizations such as: Aim High, St. Anthony Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, & Summer Search. Mike succeeds Andy Arenberg. Andy will remain on the board to continue his commitment to NGS.
“I remain deeply committed to helping NGS continue its life-changing work. NGS has consistently demonstrated its ability to transform the lives of its students. I’m honored to serve on the Board of an organization with a remarkable track record of student outcomes.” - Mike Shippey
Thank you, Mike, for your dedication to our Scholars.
