We are so proud of the community that joined us Sunday for our fall Open House! We have a quick recap below, but be sure to check out the quick video above and the photo gallery here to get a peek at the best moments from Sunday.
Landfill Harmonic from Paraguay graced our event with their symphony performance, starting us off on a high note. Sol Food provided catering that left both our tummies and our hearts full.
Then, we handed out popcorn as we screened the film Translators. If you haven’t seen it yet, we encourage you to do so. We chose to screen this at our Open House because it mirrors the reality of many of our Scholars. Many of them serve as young interpreters for their own families, shouldering a great responsibility in addition to excelling in their academic journey.
Then, we featured a panel of current students, alumni, and parents to speak authentically about how translating across cultures, languages, and generations is a universal experience that can unite us. The panel reflected our motivation for continuing the work of NGS, supporting students and families fully, and achieving the purpose of a greater collective Marin community.
Thanks to your investment, we can continue delivering on our mission.
We also announced that we have a goal to raise $100K in 70 days. Gifts over $250 will be entered into a special raffle for tickets to the Warriors' game against the Sacramento Kings on Sunday, January 5th.
Give here and see how your investment will benefit our Scholars.
Will you invest in the next generation today?
