Getting into college is just a step. We see our Scholars through college, to graduation, and into their careers; AND, we invest in them as they take brave and bold steps forward to create and innovate.

Cindy Escobar, one of our College Scholars at Babson College, created Semillas Society, a resource hub for first-generation college students to become first-generation trailblazers. They organized a conference on campus to organize first-generation students in the greater Boston area.

Also in attendance and in support was fellow NGS College Scholars, Danny Magaña and Abraham Perez, representing NGS as a educational resource in support of first-generation students, a population that continues to grow; research supports that "one-third of all college students in the U.S. are first-generation students."*

Our high school juniors are on the annual LA college trip visiting Pomona College, Pitzer College, Scripps College, University of Redlands, University of Southern California, UCLA, and UC San Diego.

For one, it was her first-ever airplane flight!
